This pub is very charming with its sutton hoo theme inside and over the road there is the river deben, booking is always recommended during the busy season and weekends, but you can usually get a table in the week evenings with no prob. The pub is well set out with arestaurant and bar area, a ramp for disabled guests for easy access. They have a wide range of menu, a bar one and a restaurant one for different appetites. T he beer battered cod is fresh and equiste and they do various specials throughout the week. There produce is fresh and cooked to the prefection. The staff are happy and willing and you are always greeted by a hello when you walk through the door. Parking is suitable with extra round the back of pub. Toliets are well presented, and easy access. The crowd in the pub are a mixture of young and old but mostly family.Outside is a small area to sit, no playgound for the children and as the sitting area outside is near the carpark, not recommended for small children. The pub is situated of a busy road, when entering the pub its a sharp swing in and when going its a busy road to watch. Alli all its a good atmosphere pub which brings all the quaintness of suffolk through its doors.
