We serve a large selection of lagers, fine ales, ciders and Guinness along with an extensive range of spirits, soft drinks and red and white house wines, available by the glass or the bottle.

Conveniently situated for easy access to York, we are also near Elvington airfield.
Our extensive menu consists of a wide variety of wholesome traditional food which is all made fresh to order and prepared using only the finest and freshest best quality ingredients ensuring that our customers return time after time to enjoy our food.
The Windmill is well known in the area for the quality of its food and its traditional Sunday lunches and so does get very busy at times. To avoid disappointment, it is strongly advised that you book a table in advance.
All our food is homemade so we can cater for special dietary requirements such as gluten-free meals for celiacs and meat-free meals for vegetarians. Please let us know when ordering if you have any special requirements or feel free to contact us prior to booking.

Often wary of pubs with accommodation, but the rooms here are separate from the pub/restaurant area and quiet enough to get a good nights sleep. Staff very friendly and food excellent. Handy for a park and ride into York. Don't usually do reviews but can recommend this place.

From the moment we arrived at The Windmill the staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. We tried the menu from the bar for a late lunch and it was very tasty and good value. The staff arranged for a taxi into town and could recommend places to go. The room was very clean and well presented, The breakfast the following morning was excellent and again the service we received could not be faulted. I would not hesitate in booking The Windmill again
