AVOID AT ALL COSTS

When I contacted Tony he gave 2 quotes, 1 for if he came alone & my partner helped him lift 3 bookcases & a higher quote for bringing a colleague to help with the lifting. We opted for the 2nd as my partner has a bad back & we stressed how heavy the bookcases are. When Tony arrived we paid upfront. His 1st question was whether he could drag the bookcases across the newly laminated floor. My partner asked where his colleague was in order to help lift. Tony admitted his wife was the only person with him & that she had a bad back & couldn't help. So my partner had to help, with his bad back. After loading, I asked if we could be reimbursed & go back to the 1st quote, as he hadn’t brought his colleague. Tony offered no apology & categorically refused to compensate us for the additional work my partner had to do. I asked if we could split the difference between quote 1 & 2, at which point Tony threatened to leave the bookcases in the street.Unprofessional, aggressive, and false advertising!
