Manchester Ancoats Travelodge has everything you need for a good night's sleep, offering great value rooms close to the Northern Quarter, within walking distance of Picadilly Gardens.
Room was cold, lift broken, noisey at night.

On a recent trip to Manchester I stayed at the Travelodge in Great Ancoats Street. The hotel is situated on a main road, about 5 minutes walk from Piccadilly Gardens and the main shopping and commercial area of Manchester. It is also a short 10 minute walk from Piccadilly Station. We stayed in a family room which provided us with a sofa bed and a double bed. The sofa bed was fine but the mattress on the double bed was far too soft. We informed reception of this and the mattress was replaced within a couple of hours. The rooms are clean and large and have an LCD TV and private bathroom which was clean. Our rooms were made up every day pretty early on too. There isn't a lot to do in the immediate environs of the hotel but a short walk will take you to bars, restaurants and shops and public transport to explore the city more.I would recommend this hotel if you are on a budget and planning on staying in Manchester for a few days.

I stayed at this hotel for a one night stay after a night out. Its about a 5minute walk from town and 10minute walk from piccadilly station. A very good location. The hotel is based on about 6 floor and has two lifts, it also has a resturant located on the bottom floor, prices were decent, very good for a hotel resturant. The rooms were clean and basic, the bathroom wasent so great, needs a little update. It had lcd tv and tea and coffee. Its a good hotel for just a quick stay and to get your head down for a bit.
