shocking

My partner and I booked return flights to Marrakech on Friday night (two days ago) flying out from Gatwick on 27th December and returning on 30th December. We had been looking and looking and finally found this excellent deal. Travelsoon were offering the return Thomson flights for £187 per person, much cheaper than anywhere else. We went through the booking process and received an e-mail thanking us for our booking. We continued to research the extras such as the hotel, parking, excursions. We booked and paid for car parking and the hotel that night. On Saturday morning we had a phonecall from the least helpful man in the world saying that there was only, in fact, one seat on the plane, not two. He said the only other tickets he could sell us were about £500. I phoned back and spoke to quite a helpful woman who looked at all the flight options for us but she was unable to find anything as good. I asked her if she could reserve that seat for us just for half an hour but she was unable to and assured us that single seats rarely sell. I went direct to the Thomson website but the flights were £287 each. We decided we would book one flight through Thomson and one flight through Travelsoon and just accept that it would be an extra £100 between us. I phoned back Travelsoon and spoke to the same lady who said she was on the other line and would call back, but to hold fire on the Thomson booking just in case. She didn't phone back for almost 30 minutes so I called her back. Only to be told that flight had sold out too. We now have a hotel and airport car parking booked for a holiday that we can't go on. To make matters worse, they are still advertising this deal knowing that it isn't available. I really don't see how anyone with a conscience could let this happen to people. So disappointing.
