took my car to turves green garage with an exhaust problem they were very helpful from steve the manager right down to the car washer they patched up my exhaust for a pittence of a price i`ll be taking it back for mot and service thankyou guys

Rip off Britain!
We took our car in to Turves Green today for a service and MOT (total cost £120). When they hadn't called to advise if it had passed or failed I called them asking if it was ready for pick up and the exact cost. They told me £431! They had basically carried out over £300 of work without checking with us and then held the car ransom, saying that we could either pay £200 and they'd take all the new parts back off and issue an MOT failure, or we had to pay. The manager Steve who said he'd talk to us about it, disappeared by the time we got there and I had to speak to him on the phone! The upshot of this review is that the guy who worked there said: "this happens all the time and we have to sort it out". WARNING! DO NOT USE THIS GARAGE UNLESS YOU ARE HAPPY TO BE RIPPED OFF!!!
