The UK Gas Heating (UGH!) Services experience has been a living nightmare and one of the worse companies I have ever come across. Overall feel duped, conned and swindled by a pushy, dishonest salesman. No breakdown of costs, hidden extras, and full of empty promises. The salesman also said we did not need a surveyor for a pre-installation re: the layout of the piping, but the workers said we should have had a surveyor report for the piping. The salesman assured us that the final cost we agreed included costs of all parts, labour and removal and there were no hidden extras. However, during the installation the workers and after-sales rep charged us additional costs for items not specified on the order form. The salesman assured us that if there were any problems he would be there as a contact point to resolve any problems before, during and after the installation, but alas as soon as we had problems with the workers he did not want to know about it and referred us to the technical specialist. The workers we had (included a trainee) were incompetent, unprofessional, messy and rude. One had a real attitude problem and insisted on taking shortcuts and cutting corners (even against customer wishes and to the detriment of our property). Their work was shoddy, half-baked, incomplete and did not correspond to what had been agreed on the order form. It was only persistent follow-up with the original salesman that they did, albeit begrudgingly, what was on the order form. Furthermore the workers left the place in a mess and refused to repair damage they had made. Very poor after-sales customer support and sub-standard customer service. Never apologised for their workers' substandard quality of work, despite having to subsequently most of their worker's faults arising from our complaints. It is clearly evident that there is very poor communication and alignment between the salesman and the workers, as worker workers never seemed to follow what was on the order form.
