We are so confident of the level of support you will receive from UK BITS that our flexible contracts run for just three months with the minimum of only 1 hour a month!

For a fixed monthly subscription, you receive the peace of mind that you have a number of hours of pre-paid support - on or off site and guaranteed a response within one hour.

A support contract with UK Bits will provide your organization with access to our helpdesk and team of IT Professionals who will ensure the security and smooth running of your IT infrastructure.

We provide LAN, WAN infrastructures including wireless networking, VPN, Broadband, office to office and mobility solutions, bringing your branch offices and staff closer.

•Whether it may be installing a complete network, setting up a new Windows server, adding or disabling users on your network, fixing your unreliable wireless network, helping you plan a new VOIP phone system, troubleshooting email problems, or even helping with a spreadsheet formula, we are happy to help.

•That's not to suggest we are a 'Jack of all trades', we have a long background in corporate networks.

•We just know that our customers like the fact that we are flexible and no job is too small.

1 hour response time – our definition meaning we'll start work on the problem within the hour.

Our support ranges from helping with formatting a Word document, through setting your scanner to save your document in the right place, all the way through to replacing disks on a crashed server and restoring the data from backup.

If it's IT related, we'll do our best to resolve it as quickly and efficiently as we can.

We install and maintain networks, large or small. Administrating and installing servers and resolving issues are day to day things for us.

Servers: We set up new servers for customers where required, with all users, shared folders, permissions and restrictions on files, and software installations such as MS Exchange, Sage or ACT for example.
Where customers already have a server in place, we undertake any work or maintenance required, such as administering new users or ex-employees login and access rights, software installation or upgrades, or troubleshooting problems.

Networks / Cabling: Whether customers want a simple network with one switch and a few PCs or a full infrastructure comprising server cabinet, patch panels, wall ports, router and Firewall, we are happy to advise and/or quote for all the hardware and install it.
Office moves are often a headache when a computer is relocated and won't connect to the network.
We are often needed to trace network cables or ‘patch in' ports to make them live on the network.
If new network ports need to be added, we can also quote for installing network cables and terminating them.
Whatever your network requirements, we are here to help.

Backups: Data is a critical part of any business and backups are a necessity, often overlooked until they are required.
We can provide and set up backup hardware and software if required, troubleshoot and resolve backup issues, and monitor the backups to ensure they have run successfully.

Remote Access: Many businesses have a requirement for remote access – for the MD, the sales team, or maybe part time staff that sometimes need to work from home.
This is something else we can set up for you if you need it.

Whether you require support or installation of broadband, a telephone system, or VOIP, we can advise or help.

Communications:
VOIP: We can provide a VOIP system with desk phones, soft phones (uses a program on your computer), or mobile apps.
First line support is with us, higher level support available if ever required.
We can provide a fixed price per user per month, covering all costs including calls if you need it.
Should you already have your own VOIP system in place, we can administer that on your behalf if you don't have the time or inclination.

Telephony: Where customers prefer their own on-site phone system, we can offer solutions to meet almost all requirements. If your existing phone system needs changes making – usernames, ring groups etc., we are happy to look after that for you where we can obtain administrative access to your phone server.

Broadband: There are usually different broadband services available depending on your area.
We can find what services are available in your area, advise you on suitable providers (and things you need to ask them), and we also re-sell a broadband service.
Troubleshooting connection problems and replacing and configuring routers and firewalls is something we find ourselves doing for customers quite often.

We can offer cloud email solutions, storage, backups...

We can organise your Microsoft Office 365 licenses for you, set up your mailboxes, shared mailboxes and groups, administer your settings and even migrate your old email system to ‘the cloud'.
If you are already using Microsoft Office 365 as your email system, we are happy to administer it for you and reorganise it if you like.
Where excessive SPAM is a problem, we can look at your settings to try and reduce it for you.
We can also help set up your mobile devices to access your emails on the go.
Cloud Drives / Online Storage

There are lots of cloud drives / online storage options available. We can look after your current system if you have one, or advise you based on your requirements. We also have a selection that we can offer if they suit your needs.
Server Hosting

If you require (or already have) a server but have no suitable premises, we can host it on our premises for you and give remote access to you and your team. We can take care of the backups for you so you can just get on and work!

Protecting your systems against viruses and ransomware, as well as hackers and thieves.

Firewalls
Windows servers and computers have a built-in firewall which is often turned off because of issues it causes with certain software.
This is something we are able to troubleshoot for you and we are also able to provide and/or configure other hardware or software firewalls if needed.

AntiVirus
There are many flavours of Antivirus software available.
Some are very expensive, some are less so, some slow your systems down, and some don't.
We are registered resellers/partners with some of the bigger name AV providers out there which enables us to renew your license for you when it's due.
There is even one we can supply where you pay per computer every month, so if you wish to add or remove licenses, you pay as you go instead of buying bulk licenses for one, two or three years.
If you are looking to implement a new or different anti-virus solution, we can help you decide which is best for you.
It doesn't matter if it's a provider we aren't registered with, it's all about what's in your best interests!

Anti-Spam
Everybody seems to be getting more and more junk, 'phishing', and malware emails as time goes on.

There are a few ways this can be filtered out, ranging from online anti-spam services that filter out the bad emails to a quarantine and then deliver the genuine ones to you, to on premises anti-spam solutions that sit on your server, or even just a few 'tweaks' on your email settings.
We can configure and implement 'SPF' records and checks, which is a way to reduce spoof emails being sent on your behalf and to prevent others from coming in to your mailbox.

New legislation is encouraging encryption of devices in order to protect data if they are lost or stolen.
We can advise on available encryption methods where required and implement them for you.
