Restaurant - Italian in London

If you are not lucky enough to have a local restaurant like this it's worth the visit to NW2. Vali used to cook at Simpson's in Piccadilly, and the food is not only superbly prepared but also presented. It's a modest place, don't get me wrong, but the value for money, the quality of the food and the friendliness of the place is just plain wonderful. Wine is great. Try the penne or spaghetti arabiatta. Also the Greek or Mediteranean salad. The roasts are excellent and don't forget the Irish stew. The ultimate comfort food. Grateful residents of NW2... and proud regulars.
