Very impressed with professional, helpful service

My computer decided to die without any warning over the bank holiday weekend and with a presentation to setup today (28/08) I needed it to be working. I phoned a few local companies in the local magazine, but they seemed that they weren't interested and wanted a £75 call out charge because it was a bank holiday weekend or they all seemed to be shut, should have guessed with the B/H. I didn't really want to take my PC to PC World either because of a bad experience and having to unplug the PC and I have no idea how to plug it back up. My Sister was looking on Google for me, to find a local company online and she found that D3 Computers was local to the area and so I phoned up and spoke to a friendly gentleman, which I now remember as Dean, and he asked me a few questions to then tell me that he needed to pop over to take a look. He was fully booked for Saturday, but made space for me on the Sunday afternoon. Great! On Sunday he turned up around 10mins early and then had a look at the PC, only to tell me that windows had a corruption and needed to be reinstalled, my windows was showing a blue screen, which he called the BOD (blue screen of death?). And he gave me two options: To either clean up the computer, which was the quickest option, but more expensive or to try and solve the underlying problem, which although a bit cheaper would take a lot longer. Given that I was short on time and that the PC had never been serviced I decided to give it a clean up. He carried out a “system refresh" which saved all my personal documents (thank god) and then formatted the drive to put my windows back on. All my documents were saved on to a CD and then also copied back on to my PC and gave me the CD. My Computer was returned to my on Monday evening and it's now working, well it seems, quicker than when I first bought it and it only has what I need on the start menu, unlike before which was full of other stuff. I paid £145 for the service, but I think that this is money well spent and I have recommended the company to my brother in-law that wants a wireless network setup. I would recommend him to anyone else too if they asked. I was impressed that there was no call out charge and the quote was given to me too. I am looking at getting a laptop for my son as he goes back to school soon and Dean explained how it could also be on the internet at the same time as my computer with a device called a router. I've asked him to come back again next week to give me a quote on setting this up.
