As a client of wake smith of several years paying them substantial sums I was expecting that the solicitor I dealt with was representative of the firm. Unfortunately that assumption was wrong. I am saddened to see that as a firm it has failed to handle my situation properly and ignored a complaint which resulted in them losing substantial fees and instead of addressing the problem threatened to further destabilise my situation after promising to investigate a complaint. I have since found a better firm of solicitors who understand the complexity of my situation and despite being 3 times the hourly cost they have achieved more and handled my personal and business representation far more efficiently. It's is a sad fact in life you pay for quality and Wake Smith as a firm have failed on several occassions to consider that they had dropped the ball and not advised me properly about my options. In what appears to be retaliation for losing over £50,000 in fees to another firm, after I had to move because instead of giving me a replacement solicitor when mine left the firm for pastures new they allowed my case and my situation to be further compromised. My complaint was ignored.
