Plastering: From simple plaster board ceilings in new-builds and semis, to restoration work on Grade 1 & 2 Listed buildings, I believe in the craft of my trade. I am a keen amateur water-colour artist in my spare-time, so at no extra cost, I understand the creativity often needed when working on character and listed buildings. You will receive first class work, I will be competitively priced. My usual work is in a 10 mile radius of Watford. Where your work is more specialist I can travel. Small jobs are fine, so from a few hours work to a whole property, I take on jobs of any size. It's what I do and I Iove it. I work in and around the Watford Stanmore and Rickmansworth areas. I'm an honest hard-working bloke and only do first class work. Call me, I'd love to hear from you. http://www.watfordplaster.co.uk/

Did nice work, well finished. Fair price too. Difficult to get a quote from him, but then they all are!

Highly recommend. We had another tradesman mess this job up, and even his replacement failed to turn-up. Others wouldn't even quote.. We got John from the Listed Buildings people. John did our Grade 2 limework properly, and with ease.

John arrived on time, was courteous and professional in his work. Clean and diligent workmanship and attention to detail second to none. This is an 'old school' plasterer, who knows and enjoys his trade - do not lose his number. Prices are fair.

John done a great job rendering my shower room, although only a small room, two of the walls were out of square and required a lot of render to meet the shower tray ensuring my new shower enclosure will look good when fitted. Thanks John.

John spent quality time and effort in lime plastering on wood-fibre insulation batts as well as traditional gypsum based plaster on walls. These insulation batts were installed as part of the ceiling makeup to our new house extension (in place of insulated plasterboard). It proves to be a more sustainable construction buildup as it allows for better U-values, air tightness and breathability. However it is somewhat complex at adjoining angled ceiling surfaces. John worked very hard to achieve a good finish and we are pleased with his workmanship in this rather experimental environment. His experience is also absolutely critical in being able to achieve projects such as these. We would highly recommend John for both lime and gypsum based plasterwork.

John did a perfect job for me. It was only a small repointing job to our Grade 2 cottage but he was extremely knowledgeable on historic ways of plastering and the materials to be used and very happy to give advice. He arrived promptly did a great job and left things clean and tidy. His rates are competitive and I will definitely be using him when I start decoration internally when I will be confronted with wattle and daub plaster and only knows what else!

John did a fantastic job of our cracked and blown render. He is reliable, takes pride in his work and very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend him and will not hesitate to use him again in the future.

John made a great job of repairing the pebbledashing beneath my bay window after a previous tradesman had left a mess. He is honest and reliable and takes a great pride in his work. He has since plastered a room for me and I am very pleased with the result.

John is reliable and honest. He makes an effort to turn up on time and completes his work to a good standard. We have had a couple of jobs completed by him: a whole room and a patch last year and another patch on the stairs this winter. He has done a good job throughout and clearly takes pride in his work. His rate is also reasonable. I would recommend him to anyone needing plastering done.

I now have beautiful flat walls and ceiling! John did a great job, and I'm v pleased with his work. I'd have no problem recommending him. (We have the same initials by the way! I'd just like to assure everyone that I AM a recent customer of John's!)

John has just completed the external rendering on a number of large concrete block raised beds and a wall in my garden. A pleasure to work with a real professional: work has been completed in a timely fashion, despite the recent bad weather, to a high standard. Site has been left clean and tidy on departure. I am very happy to recommend him to others.

John did a great job on my kitchen ceiling. It was a combination of old and new artex with some noticeable bends. He was able to smooth it off and reduce the curvature visibly. Kept the whole work area clean and tidy too. Certainly recommend.

John has just finished our Kitchen Ceiling, it was a complicated job and resulted in the entire old ceiling coming down and a new one fitted and plastered. He was friendly, approachable and did the job very quickly, he is also the tidiest builder I have ever known! I have asked for him to come back and do the painting :) good at his trade and doesn't make you feel arkward in your own home .

A job to get hold of at the start, but really fine work. Did our study ceiling. A complex job, with many arches and rounds. Couldn't get any one else to quote it. John did it well.
