Roof repair

I used this roofing company led by John Smith as I understood it to be a family run business and wanted to give them the work as opposed to a large company. They arrived early each time they came and were straight to work on the roof. They appeared to be doing a good job. On the last day of work when they were supposed to fit a cowl to the chimney and tidy up, John Smith sent me to the bank to put payment into his bank account. This I did. When I returned they said they were finishing soon and would come back another day to fit the cowl and tidy up. They never returned. My son checked the chimney and he doesn't believe they even re-pointed the chimney. I would not recommend these roofers to anyone. I was such a fool to have trusted them. What's more they didn't finish paying the scaffolder so I paid him because otherwise the scaffolder was going to leave it up and I had other work starting within a few days. If they do eventually return and put everything right then I will re-post my review.
