The previous review by Danny Bootle is a complete lie. AT Weswthoughton Carpets we only employ time served fitters and Mr Loughlin has no Criminal record. We are in the process of finding out who Danny Bootle is and will be taking legal action. Just read the other reviews and make up your own mind.

Over the past couple of years i have had a almost a full house refit from this company and also a very large flat refit. i am dissapointed to see that there has been even the wisper of a bad review. the owner and staf were very helpful and went out of there way to make sure the carpet was the right one even in one case when the carpet was required urgentally, this carpet was fitted the next day and i must say the prices are the best i have seen to the point that the same carpet used for a average lounge, staircase and landing was almost two hundred pounds cheeper than the competitors. Thanks Guys i will be back for many carpets and will recomend this company to many more people, which i already have and to which were all happy. (funny how one person has had the opposite end of the scale to the rest of us, maybe its worth considering that they are infact the problem, just a thought) CG

good company
I have used westhoughton carpets several times and have never had any problems. Steve the owner tries very hard to find the best carpet for the job, sometimes he needs reminding to do things but always has the best intentions. The fitters are all polite and do a great job. I had to ring steve once when the fitters missed a doorplate, but they came round the same day and fitted it. Overall a good service and cheap prices.

I am disturbed to see the negative rating given by Minardi F as I have used Westhoughton Carpets for a number of years and have always found them to be well mannered, helpful and extremely professional. I have recommended them to friends & businesses all of whom have been extremely satisfied and continue to trade with them over and over again. I conclude that they are Excellent and above all, extremely trustworthy. The owner will go well out of his way to ensure you get total satisfaction and no detail is too much trouble. THEY ARE EXEMPLARY.

i have used this compnay several times in the past. nothing was too much trouble. they even took of doors, plane them down and refitted them. really reasonable prices. and down to earth advise. I ave recommended to friends who have also used them.

From Experience and Without Prejudice - Avoid!
Westhoughton Carpets were approached by ourselves on 2nd Jun 2010 for a complete house refurbishment under an insurance mandate, Hall Stairs Landing, Lounge, 3 x Beds, Kitchen, bathroom. Their 'warehouse' premises are shoddy, there was no power during our visits to inspect any of the carpets in the 'warehouse', the office was a disgrace with no evident filing or organisation. The owner oddly showed us invoicing/documentation/mandates from previous customers (do DPA Laws not apply to the carpet industry)?. Alarm bells were ringing in my head already at this point. Following a number of missed and rescheduled appointments, the property was measured up for fitting some time (2 weeks) later. Westhoughton Carpets were informed of the arrival of the insurance mandate on 21st June. It then took them until the 29th June to collect it, again following the pattern of missed and rescheduled appointments. Regular telephone contact was attempted with the owner of Westhoughton Carpets and excuses such as: 'Didn't get the voicemail' or denials that contact had been attempted by ourselves, were commonplace. During the single customer visit, that they did manage to attend, they were to present some samples for choice and collect the insurance mandate. The owner of the company only brought one pack of laminate and one carpet sample. No choices of colours, kitchen laminate or bathroom vynil were available. I'm not willing to buy flooring off the strength of "this is what I've got in stock and you want the job doing quickly don't you?"... I do believe as a customer that I should have the luxury of even the most limited of choices. Westhoughton Carpets were invited to leave at this point. I advise against using this company, they were unreliable, unprofessional, unhelpful, evasive, rude, insulting and economical with verifyable facts (ie: the truth). They don't like accurate and deserved direct appraisal either.
