Carols by Candlelight performed by kind permission of Opera North. Wednesday 17th December Starts @ 7.30pm How lucky are we?! A truly festive celebration for all the family. With kind permission of Opera North we have some of the UK's top opera singers performing an array of carols and show songs! To keep you warm and cosy we will be putting on hot food, mince pies and mulled wine. MERRY CHRISTMAS, from us all at The WHITE SWAN!

The food
I took my family to the swan on Sunday as we had heard that the Carvery was really good. They were not wrong it was delicous, the best gravy I have had for a long time! The service and general pub atmosphere was really cosy, I am thinking I may even have Christmas dinner there!! Will save on the dishes, ha!
