This system is amazing. As soon as you start training in it you get addicted to it because of the silplicity and beauty of it.I have trained in it for about an year and was able to take a much bigger friend(125 kg) on the ground which is fantastic for some one who hardly weighs some thing :)

I've been intrested in the WingTsun system for over five year, two years ago i took the plunge and started to train in the Leeds school. Having trained in various martial arts in the past I can say without a doubt it is the most effective I have found ever. The school is located close to the city centre and has a great atmosphere to train in....RECOMENDED

Having trained for some time in the Martial Arts I found myself looking for a new challenge and set out to find a school providing high quality martial arts training in a friendly environment. This club (WT Leeds) provides a very high standard of teaching and I have enjoyed my training since joining. Recommended.

Having waited 5 years (no, really i did!) for someone to come to Leeds and teach WT, I can say with complete confidence that it was well worth the wait! WT can either be the most simple or most challenging activity depending on how far you want to take it and anyone can have instant success with WT even after the first lesson. I personally have found WT extremely rewarding and come away from each lesson having achieved and learned something new. Great for people of all sizes and builds (I'm built like a rizla!) WT has tought me some great concepts and principles that I now use in day to day life.

Having been taking part in classes and training here for 3 months and approaching my 2nd grading i have found it to be fun and enjoyable whilst at the same time i'm finding i learn a great deal at each session and come away feeling more and more confident about myself and my surroundings. The teaching is confident and accessible to men and women of all ages and fitness levels and no assupmtions are made. With both Adult and Childrens classes it appeals to a wide range of ages. I would suggest anyone interested in learning a self defence based martial art to come along to one of the sessions and check out what it's all about.

WingTsun is a fascinating Martial Art, anyone from complete beginner to expert Martial Artist can give it a go, and if you've got the urge I'd go to one of Barry Wells' schools. He is truley an inspirational instructor with a passion for what he does best; teaching WT. I live too far away to train with SiHing Barry anymore but would return to his tuition immediately if we are ever in the same area again.

If you are looking for starightforward, practical self defence then this is the place to be. WT is accessible to anyone, regardless of age, fitness level, sex etc. and is usable in a very short time whilst refining your skill will provide a lifelong challenge.

I have never before seen a martial art quite like WingTsun. The other martial arts I have experienced have been somewhat less than practical as a self-defence, unless fighting against another using the same martial art. WingTsun is completely different. It's a complete self-defence system that doesn't just show you what to do or how to do it, but also tells you why it is done. It is a martial art based on principles, concepts and theories, all of which appeal to me. Above all it is rational and the simplicity of some of our applications is truly mind-blowing. I have seen both adults and children alike being changed by our classes, myself included, and I would definately recommend WingTsun to those looking for a self-defence system, a new hobby or just looking to meet some new and interesting people.
