Woodlands is a beautiful Victorian house in Charlesworth, Derbyshire, just on the northwest slopes of the Peak District. Originally built of local stone in 1886 by the Rowbottom family, owners of the Kinderlee textile mill, Woodlands is now in the loving care of Brian and Judy Mairs – only the third occupants of the house in the last hundred years. Together they have transformed it into a tasteful home from home and a great place to stay whether visiting Manchester or the Peak District.
Come and enjoy a home-cooked meal from locally-sourced ingredients at our award winning tea room. Along with our delicious afternoon tea, we serve a variety of traditional British cuisine all year round.
In its wonderfully scenic setting, Woodlands has three AA-rated 4 Gold Star rooms in the guest house, as well as a two-bedroom self-catering barn conversion complete with every creature comfort.
