I became aware of the Woolpack Inn when reading article in This England (summer 2009) of the life of Laurie Lee. What a beautiful area, and what a peaceful place in Lauries' time. My Beautiful wife was born in nearby Stroud some 70 yrs ago, and migrated to Australia in 1951 with her family, so there is also a wonderful connection for me. So glad I read article and found 'the pub' on a google earth search. Long Live the English countryside
