Legal Training is a website founded in 2004, dedicated to providing good value, quality, internet based training for Barristers, Solicitors and Chartered Legal Executives in England and Wales.
Unless otherwise stated, the course content is all written by Amanda Millmore, a Barrister (Call 1996 - Lincoln's Inn) who is currently non-practising whilst concentrating on providing education and training for legal professionals and looking after her young children. We have guest course authors in a number of areas, notably some of the IT skills courses, many of our Property Law courses and our popular Mental Capacity Act and Community Care Law courses; please see the course information for further details.
Amanda was previously a tenant in the Chambers of Timothy Raggatt Q.C. at 4 Kings Bench Walk, where she practised in the areas of Family Law, Personal Injury and Criminal Law for 8 years until 2004.
LegalTraining is a well-established, accredited online CPD provider for barristers, solicitors and legal executives. 100% Online - instant access, immediate test results and completion certificate, available 24/7. The website offers reasonably priced, flexible, instant access, online accredited CPD courses covering a range of practice areas and subjects. Courses cost just £16 per CPD hour with a range of courses from 1 to 3 CPD hours, and a multi-buy discount offer of 12 CPD hours for the price of 9. No quibble money-back guarantee.
Criminal law, family law, property law, civil law, IT skills, disability awareness, mental capacity law, complaints handling, community care law, social media and the law. Accredited by the Bar Standards Board and Solicitors' Regulation Authority as distance learning and suitable for CILEx CPD we are also accredited by the Council for Licensed Conveyancers.
Amanda Millmore is recognised and accredited as an external course provider for both the Bar Standards Board and Solicitors Regulation Authority Continuing Professional Development programmes (CPD). All of our courses are accredited for CPD points and list the number of hours accreditation that each one carries. We are also accredited providers for the Council for Licensed Conveyancers in respect of our Property Law and General courses. The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives does not accredit providers, trusting Legal Executives to vet suitable training themselves; their guidance states that distance learning from a training provider will be suitable.
Our Solicitors Regulation Authority CPD reference is DKR/AMLT.
Upon completion of an accredited course, you can access an online completion certificate as proof of your CPD hours; this shows the course code as well as the course name, number of hours of CPD completed and date of completion; you will need this for your CPD record-keeping, but you can always login at a later date and view your completion certificates in the My Account section of the website. Since December 2013 we are no longer required to send a confirmation e-mail to the Bar Standards Board, which historically we have always done; we do of course keep records should there be a query from the regulators about course completion.
