Shops that you think are good value for money often end up costing you more money

My friend got completely ripped off by these crooks. His apple screen broke, he took it in for repair and wanted the screen to be replaced with an apple screen not a generic screen. They said they would do this. When he picked the phone up the screen was not an apple screen and we believe other components on the phone were changed. He also realised that both the torch and camera had stopped working and the phone was now functioning with issues due to the screen not being the correct screen. On realising this my friend took it back to the shop and the chap did eventually change the screen but said the other things were nothing to do with him, but he'd repair it anyway and that if my friend wanted to he could contribute to the repairs - eg an additional £45. The phone was fine when it went into the shop apart from the cracked screen. Needless to say my friend did not pay the additional money that the man gave him sob stories about and tried to guilt him in to paying. To top it off, my friends phone has now also been cloned and people are receiving calls from his number that he is not making. This has been reported to Vodafone and their fraud team are investigating this. Cheap is not always the best - I'd avoid this place as it may end up costing you more money in the long run.
