Fab place, really different!

Oh, i love this place. Excellent if you want a different dining experience. The decor is wonderful, so much to look at, the staff are very friendly (not always that attentive though) and the food is excellent! Nepalese food seems to be a mixture of lots of cultures so there will be something for everyone. We ended up with loads of little dishes of various things covering the table and shared them all. The spiced tea icecream is may favourite food in the whole world! I have never tasted anything like it before. You can sit at a regular table with chairs or you can sit on big floor cushions at a low table... a little awkward but all part of the fun! (request the floor cushion tables when booking)

What a wonderful place! Don't be offput by the slightly secluded entrance: follow the 'Big Foot' footprints down to an unsuspecting door labeled 'RESTAURANT'. Once inside, the atmosphere immediately transports you out of the Georgian wonder that is Bath. The music is calm yet entrancing and the FOOD is WONDERFUL! The fried salmon starter is fabulous; succulent fish, fried in a very light seasoned crust with a lemon quarter and salad. Try the limeade or the lime soda. It gives a refreshing bite that complements the dinner perfectly. For the main, I tried fried basmati with vegetables and marinated grilled chicken. The food was piping hot when it came to the table (and really great portion sizes), the service was excellent and for a starter, a main, drinks, a dessert and a tea the grand total was 20 pounds). The spiced apple tart is great with a cup of spiced hot milk drink, found in northern India and Nepal, called Chiayya. Highly recommended and I look forward to going back again!
