When I first moved to Bath, there were no Japanese restaurants at all (The Sushi Guy in Sawclose had recently closed down) so I felt somewhat despondent. Imagine my relief when Yen Sushi opened its doors and filled that gap. Thankfully, my initially enthusiasm was met with equally good food and a very friendly atmosphere. Some may feel a bit put out by the lack of service (it is conveyor belt-based and booking a table in advance seems to make no difference) but provided you are prepared for this you should have fun. My one major gripe with Yen Sushi is the music: playing western R'n'B in a Japanese restaurant is a complete anachronism and conflicts with the authenticity of the atmosphere they try to evoke. Some J-Pop would be far more appropriate for the 'Urban East' setting. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this to any fans of Japanese cuisine and it is important to show your support - we do not want to lose the only proper Japanese restaurant we have in the city.
