Do not order takeaway fromYien!!!
I ordered a vegetarian noodle dish and when I opened it, it had a lot of chicken and prawns. I phoned to say I had been given the wrong dish (I am vegetarian) and was told I should come back to the restaurant to get it exchanged. I thought that was a silly idea as the mistake was not mine, and anyway, by the time I got there and back, all my other food would be cold. The woman on the phone said she could deliver a replacement but not for a long time as the driver was out. I asked if I could simply get a refund for the incorrect dish (the bill had been paid by credit card) but was told that refunds were not given. Eventually, after arguing for sometime, the woman agreed I could have a refund - but I must return the dish first! We eventually agreed that the dish would be collected and I would then receive a refund. That was about 4 hours ago and no one has been. I will not order from Yien again. All that and they charged £1.50 for cold chewy prawn crackers!

Real Gem
The Yien restaurant in Muswell Hill is a real gem. It is located opposite to the Odeon Cinema. It is easy to get to and there is plenty of parking nearby.The restaurant is not large and the decor is basic in black and white yet looks both clean and fresh. The service is attentive and non-obtrusive. The menu is extensive and caters well for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. One of the best starter dishes is the salt and pepper tofu and what better way to end a great meal than with a delicious banana fritter! This is a great place for any occasion, social or work. The restaurant is a real gem and I have continued to be impressed with the quality of the food.
