About

Welcome to York EPC

York EPC offers a quick and efficient service at a competitive price of just £50 with no VAT (as we are not VAT registered) which includes the property assessment and the EPC report. We aim to carry out the assessment within 48 hours of an enquiry and the completed EPC report is delivered within 24 hours of the assessment.

There are several reasons why you may need to obtain an EPC...

If you are selling or renting out a domestic or a non-domestic property, or if you are looking to take advantage of one of the government's renewable energy schemes such as the Renewable Heat Incentive or the Solar Feed in Tariff, then you need an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) in order to proceed.

York EPC is an impartial, independent company which offers a fast and efficient service, providing both domestic and non-domestic EPC's and a range of associated energy assessment services such as Green Deal Reports and SBEM Calculations, delivered by our knowledgeable and experienced Energy Assessors.

You need a non-domestic EPC when selling or renting out a commercial property.

York EPC can produce non-domestic EPC's on a complete range of buildings from a small retail unit to a large school or office block. Naturally with such a varied range and size of property the prices vary considerably. Our prices start at £150 with no VAT (as we are not VAT registered) and are calculated on the floor area and number of rooms.

York EPC has been producing Green Deal Reports since the scheme was first introduced early in 2013. Our price is typically £160 with no VAT (as we are not VAT registered).

There is no legal requirement to obtain a Green Deal Assessment but there are several government schemes where one is required in order to apply for grants and funding.

When applying for the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), a government scheme which encourages the installation of a number of measures such as a biomass boiler, an air/ground/water source heat pump or solar thermal panels, you need to obtain a Green Deal Report, which consists of an EPC and an Occupancy Assessment.

A DEC and advisory report are required for buildings with a total useful floor area over 500m2 that are occupied in whole or part by public authorities and frequently visited by the public.

York EPC can produce Display Energy Certificates (DEC) on a complete range of buildings from 500m² floor area upwards. Our prices start at £150 with no VAT (as we are not VAT registered) and are calculated on the floor area and number of rooms.
