National Railway: York Train Station
We have stayed a couple of times at York House and have had warm welcome on both occasions. We would highly recommend this for families as the facilities are very good. Two interconnecting rooms are available for families with a private bathroom. At breakfast the table had been made up with booster seat and a cup, dish and spoon, ready for our little one. These touches made us feel very welcome. The breakfasts are lovely with a good selection to choose from. The rooms are very clean and well-maintained. The beds were made every day and the tea, coffee etc was re-stocked every day.The owners are very friendly without been intrusive. The prices are very competitive particularly as it is only a 15/20 min walk into York. Once you're there you don't need to use the car unless planning to travel further beyond the town.We regularly stay in hotels and bed and breakfasts while visiting family and experienced a range of standards of food, cleaniness and welcomes! York House is definately a place that we compare to when judging places we've stayed.
