Yu Restaurant has to be one of the best Chinese restaurants in Aberdeen. The Décor is sophisticated and modern with the friendly staff on hand to cater for your every need. This is a place where you can enjoy celebrate a special occasion or have a fun party night with a group of friends. They have a function room upstairs so larger groups can enjoy there own space. When it come to ordering you'll be spoiled for choice but I can recommend the shredded chill beef, one of the best I've ever tasted. The menu has all the favourites on it alongside a good variety of house specials. Whatever you decided to sample you'll be guaranteed it'll be a meal to remember.

Good Quality Chinese

Yu's is designed to be upmarket Chinese food and it does it quite well. The best way to eat here is to choose from the banquet menu which isnt cheap but then Yu's is also a perfect destination for that business lunch on the expenses! The restaurant itself goes very far back and because of this it suffers from little natural light which at night doesn't matter but in the day time it makes the place feel a little dingy. The service is normally fairly good, but it is definitely the food people come to Yu's for. As I mentioned it isn't cheap so the restaurant is best used for special occasions and for people who will realy appreciate good Chinese food, not takeaway tastes!

I've only eaten here a couple of times but it's been lovely both times. The restaurant is decorated in a very comfortable way, and the layout allows a fair bit of privacy, so it's quite good for business meetings and the like. The food is served on hotplates and separate to the rice and other side dishes, but is presented well and doesn't take too long to arrive. Everything is cooked well, and all tastes very fresh and like the ingredients are the best. I haven't had desserts in Yu so I can't comment on them, but they looked tasty enough when others had one. If you like Eastern food then yu is worth a try.
