About Us

A Plus Safety and Training Services provide a full consultancy service covering all aspects of health and safety and environmental matters. Our consultants have many years of health and safety experience and hold an impressive number of qualifications to their names. A Plus Safety and Training Services provide both in-house and on-site high quality training. All courses are delivered in a relaxed structured environment. Our trainers are well qualified professional and friendly. They have both teaching and practical experience in their specialist fields allowing them to offer real-life solutions to delegates. This enables them to offer efficient effective information-rich training. A Plus Safety and Training Services Ltd was originally the Health and Safety division of PFA Consulting Ltd formed in 1985 as a civil engineering consultancy that grew to offer a wide range of services for many of the UK's leading house builders national and international commercial and retail companies central and local government; as well as private individuals. In 2011 the Safety Health and Environmental staff and business were transferred to A Plus Safety Training and Consultancy Ltd in order that both companies could dedicate attention and improve the services offered in their respective specialist areas.

Health and Safety

A Plus Safety and Training Services provide Health and Safety consultancy services and training courses. We are a leading provider both in-house and on-site training. We deliver our training in a relaxed structured environment. Our instructors have a huge amount of operational experience which gives them the ability to bring real life examples of the subject being studied. A Plus Safety and Training Services Ltd was originally the Health and Safety division of PFA Consulting Ltd formed in 1985 as a civil engineering consultancy that grew to offer a wide range of services for many of the UK's leading house builders, national and international commercial and retail companies, central and local government; as well as private individuals.

Risk Management and Assessment

All activities involving an element of risk have a requirement for a written risk assessment. We will identify the hazards, evaluate the risks and pass on this knowledge to our clients. Health and safety legislation that applies to UK organisations is wide-ranging and continues to evolve. We can assist our clients in identifying the legislation that specifically relates to their business. We also monitor and advise clients where changes in legislation may affect their operations in the future. Fire can devastate a business and cause loss of life. We assist clients in assessing the risks, ensuring necessary procedures and precautions are in place, training employees and ensuring fire awareness is maintained at the highest possible level. We assist clients in producing their statutory health and safety policies. The policies will identify hazards that may be encountered by employees and others, state how employees are trained and identify who is responsible for health and safety within the organisation. An Environmental Management System (EMS) provides a variety of benefits to an organisation. A preliminary environmental review is strongly recommended by ISO 14001 and is a condition of accreditation for EMAS. The purpose of the review is to identify the environmental issues associated with an organisation in preparation for the development of an EMS, and in particular to act as a starting point for a formal assessment of the organisation's environmental ‘aspects' and ‘impacts'.
