I recently had an engineer out to look at my washing machine. Came out and fixed on first visit, it was a blocked drain pump according to the report, and it was £66 - Comet wanted £125 to come out!

Charged by Condemning the washing machine
Hi, Back in December 2010 my State Agent sent this firm around to repair my Washing Machine. They could not repair it so I agreed to buy from them a new washing-dryer and I paid over 450. In my April 2011 statement a 25 + VAT was discounted. When I queried the Estate Agent about it, they have told me that AR Garrett forgot to charge for the condemning of the washing machine. I was never told about this charge until now but apparently it is normal. Make your own mind up but be aware!

Washing machine Repair
Have dealt with Garrett's for many years - I always use them for my appliances and recently I had Wayne, one of their engineers, come out to me again. Problem sorted next day!
