2008
I started with Absolute Personal Training at the beginning of 2007 with a view to running the London Marathon in 2008. Steve did me a full training plan including strength and nutrition and even came on a few long training runs with me. Not only did I achieve my goal of completing the marathon I also lost almost 2 stones in weight! Steve is a fantastic trainer and great at keeping you motivated.

Along with other members of my family we decided to get fit as part of a challenge. I wanted to get toned as well as feeling fitter and Steve did me a programme specifically to build muscle and tone up. I was really pleased and now have found a hobby - playing football!

We booked Absolute Personal Training as a family as part of a challenge to get fit and lose weight. Steve made the sessions fun, informative and hard work. We achieved our goals and more importantly felt we made long term changes to our eating & fitness habits. We certainly all feel better and people have commented on how much better we all look. If you are looking for a personal trainer who knows what they are talking about, and isn't too expensive I would definately recommend them.

I had been running for several years, but picked up injury after injury, so I decided to give triathlon a go, setting as my goal a middle-distance event in June 2008. I couldn't get my head around what sport I should do when, for how far or how fast, so I asked Steve to draw up a programme for me. The training was great, I really enjoyed seeing the progression building up to race day, and best of all for me, it's the longest I have ever trained consistently without becoming injured. I put this down to a carefully thought out plan that took into account my lifestyle, telling me what training I should do every day for nine months. Okay, I had to do the work but I knew that if I did what Steve advised me, I would feel confident on the day; I was much fitter, faster and a several pounds lighter as well! I'm going back in 2009 to defend my title – Ladies Super Vet Winner – and the best advice I can give is get yourself a good coach, I can personally recommend Steve Lloyd. I have been working with Steve for a couple of years as I was fed up in joining gyms and going for a few weeks before never going again! I have never been self motivated and felt my money would be better spent with a Personal Trainer as at least I would have to work hard for an hour or so a week. Once I started seeing results and my fitness improved I was then more confident to try other sports. I feel fitter and energised!
