Nationwide Jaupt Approved driver cpc training, for drivers and company's operating vehicles over 3.5 ton, that are legally required to complete their 35 hours of periodic training. Banksman Safety Training

Nearly a quarter of all deaths involving vehicles at work occur during reversing. Many other reversing accidents do not result in injury but cause costly damage to vehicles, equipment and premises.
Every year banksmen suffer serious and fatal injuries whilst at work. If you do use banksmen, make sure they are trained to carry out their duties safely.

There must be a safe system of work that ensures the Banksman and driver are using standard signals, so that they are easily understood, and that the driver knows to stop the vehicle immediately if the Banksman disappears from view.

Our on-site training aims to raise awareness of the dangers caused when large vehicles reverse, and introduces practical techniques and hand signals to assist drivers with this manoeuvre.

Delegates will be trained in the skills to assist other drivers and banksmen.
Upon completion of the certified training course, delegates will be able to:

Ensure the safe passage of reversing vehicles into confined spaces
Identify areas of danger within the site
Demonstrate HSE's recommended code of signals
Guide large goods vehicles, both rigid and articulated, using the above code of signals to HSE signals

Midas Minibus Driver Awareness Training

MiDAS is the Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme, which promotes a nationally recognised standard for the assessment and training of minibus drivers. It is a membership based scheme that has been designed to enhance minibus driving standards and promote the safer operation of minibuses.

MiDAS is applicable to any organisation operating or using minibuses, especially organisations, which range from small voluntary organisations operating one vehicle, to local authorities operating large fleets of minibuses as well as schools, colleges and universities.

The need for drivers to undertake training before driving a minibus is recognised in the DfES guidance. You should remember that under

Health and Safety legislation, organisations have a requirement to provide appropriate training to volunteers and staff.

Modular Training programme covers;-

Driver assessment: how to judge whether drivers are competent to drive a minibus (Module 1).
Training drivers in basic minibus driving skills: how to train drivers with the skills and information which they need to know when driving a standard minibus (Module 2)
Additional training for drivers of an accessible minibus: how to train drivers with the additional skills and information they need when driving an accessible minibus.
Refresher Training for drivers: how to provide Refresher Training for existing drivers (Module 4).
