ACSIL - Support for Amputees and Carers in Liverpool and Merseyside

A group of amputees and carers who have got together to show others that there is life after amputation. The aim is to give support to people who have not received the support they need from the current system.

Free and confidential support is provided within the Liverpool area for people for whom an amputation may be necessary or who already are amputees. This also extends to their families, partners and carers.

Based on first hand experience advice, practical help and support is provided where it is needed. Much of their support is given in hospital prior to the operation and just after. Help can also be provided for sorting benefit entitlements and mobility issues.

The Amputee Support Group is an active and dynamic organisation who meet regularly and organise social events. All group members receive the Monthly newsletter, even if they cannot attend the meeting.
