We are a dedicated and professional BHPA school whose primary aim is to produce happy and safe Hang glider, Paraglider, Paramotor and Microlight pilots.

Tuition

Paragliding Learn to paraglide with Airways Airsports - one of the UK's most successful paragliding schools, running paragliding courses in Derbyshire. Our team of professional, enthusiastic and highly experienced instructors offer every variation of paragliding training and paragliding tuition; from paraglider tandem flights and beginner paragliding courses, to Club Pilot paragliding courses, conversion endorsements for hill flying, paramotoring and winch flying.

Hang Gliding is the nearest we can come to flying like a bird. Chosen by Blue Peter to teach Matt Baker to fly, Airways Airsports is a great place to learn to hang glide. Flying face down, with the wing above you, letting the movement of your body steer you around the sky - the feeling is exhillarating and unique. Take a tandem flight to 3,000 feet, or come and learn to hang glide with our expert team including Chief Flying Instructor, Andy Snell, and three times World Champion, Judy Leden MBE. You will not find more dedicated & professional instructors to teach you to fly.

Microlights. Microlight aircraft are great fun to fly - return to the roots of aviation with these small and versatile aircraft. All our microlight instructors have years of experience and are flying enthusiasts; so you will really enjoy your experience of microlighting at Airways Airsports. You can join us for a microlight trial flight, or a full microlight course; and we offer a choice of flexwing or fixed wing microlights.

Paramotor Learn to paramotor on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Airways Airsports Paramotor School is run by experienced and friendly instructors so you will enjoy learning to fly with us. Our paramotor lessons are structured so that you learn progressively, making our paramotor courses among the best around.
