I made a return visit to the Amala based on how pleased I was on my first visit. The welcome was genuinely warm and friendly. The staff are are very attentive and informative, offering advice and tweaking the dishes to suit the individual palate. The food was all extremely tasty and very well presented. The restaurant is fairly new and deserves to succeed. It is one of nicest places to eat in Wakefield.

This restaurant came highly recommended - our expections were exceeded! The attentive service was professional, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble all adding to a convivial atmosphere! We had the set meal for two with a slight variation which was readily accommodated. The food was well presented and arrived piping hot. The flavours in the food were exquisite and subtle yet not over powering. The whole experience represented excellent value for money. We have previously dined at several Thai restaurants but Amala is now our firm favourite! We wish them every success for the future and hope you have an enjoyable meal just as we did! We will certainly be returning soon!!

Our first time there and it certainly won't be our last. The food was amazing, the staff extremely polite, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We'll be back very soon and won't hesitate to recommend to others. I hope the restaurant goes from strength to strength. Thank you for a lovely meal.

I found the restaurant to be nicely refurbed to a simple and calming environment. The menu was simple and clear to understand whilst having a varied range of food from mild to hot. The service was great, very attentive and friendly without being over the top. Advice on the menu was great. There were 5 in our party and we tried each others meals, that equated to 5 starters and 5 mains and 3 deserts. All were delicious. The unusual desert of warm chocolate brownie with chilli alternated with the cooling ice cream was absolutely delicious. I would definitely eat here again and really hope that they get the custom that they deserve. PDC.

Went there for the first time last Friday, what a gem of a restaurant! The menu had some really unusual things on alongside some classics and I could easily have ordered enough food to feed several people. Eventually we settled on the set menu so we could try a number of dishes. Every dish was well flavoured and balanced to perfection. There was plenty of food but we couldn't resist the pudding menu, I went for the lemongrass panacotta which was amazing and my other half went for the home made icecreams made on site. Overall a great place to eat out and it will definitely become a regular haunt.

Really really fantastic. The pacific island chicken and lemongrass panna cotta is absolutely superb. This family run restaurant is going places and fast.
