Welcome to Annie's Guest House in South Shields, a family-run Bed & Breakfast in South Tyneside, Tyne & Wear.
Our B&B in South Shields is relaxed and friendly, offering clean, comfortable, quality accommodation at competitive rates.
All our rooms are non-smoking, have double-glazed opening windows complete with black-out roller blinds, individual temperature controls, study desk with lamp, free wireless internet, remote control TV's with Freeview, alarm clock, tea/coffee/hot chocolate/biscuit (refreshments tray), hair dryer and shave point, big soft 'bath sheet' size towels, use of our guest fridge, microwave, iron and board, 24/7 access - no curfew or lockouts. About us
Our South Shields B&B serves a full English breakfast (freshly cooked to order) from 6:30am to 9:30am seven days a week. Special diets (gluten/wheat-free, milk-free, Vegan, Vegetarian etc.) catered for by prior arrangement. More details about our breakfast menu can be found here. Guests are also offered use of a fridge and microwave in our dining room.
South Tyneside is an ideal place to base your stay in Tyne and Wear. We are just a few minutes drive from the the A1, A19 and Tyne Tunnel making Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle upon Tyne, North Shields, North Tyneside, Northumberland, Sunderland and Tynemouth all quick and easy to get to.

Our South Shields Guest House is located just a few minutes walk from local parks and beaches, shopping areas, restaurants, great nightlife and local transport links. Free parking is available right outside Annie's and we are just a few minutes walk from the Tyne & Wear Metro (train), South Shields bus station and the South Shields ferry terminal. Arriving by bike? We are just a hundred yards from a National Cycle Route, cyclists welcome, we offer free overnight cycle and motorcycle parking.
Not driving? No problem... as well as local bus services, South Shields is part of the frequent and rapid Tyne and Wear Metro (train) system, linking Gateshead, Newcastle, North Shields, South Shields, Sunderland and Tynemouth. South Shields is just 20 minutes from Newcastle Central station by Metro (train) and South Shields Metro station is less then ten minutes walk from our bed and breakfast.
Our South Shields B&B has a full fire certificate and our training includes first aid, food hygiene and fluent British Sign Language (BSL).
We accept all major credit and debit cards in person, by telephone and online.

Stayed Here Twice
First time I booked I used Late Rooms and when I turned up at the guest house about ten minutes later they hadn't received my booking yet luckily the room was still there and I got it. Wonder what would have happened if I'd arrived say 4h later and they'd sold it to someone else? Apparently the fax of my booking arrived about 2h after I did! Was told to ring direct or use their own website if I stayed with them again - and it was cheaper on their own site the second time around than I paid the first time using the late deals website? The b&b itself great, I didn't realise when I booked that breakfast was included in the price so that was a bonus. Loads of parking in a quiet residential area, pubs are about 5-10 mins away and do meals for about £6. All in all a good little stay in South Shields.
