Ardington Archives is an independent, private business specialising in the professional management of Business Storage. We operate from modern, purpose-designed storage warehouses in Stanford in the Vale, Oxfordshire.

Our clients span a range of sectors from multinational manufacturing and pharmaceutical groups, national regulatory bodies, hospitals and health care providers to international finance, IT and software companies.

We don't just store boxes: we manage your total document storage needs for the long term. Our comprehensive offer includes business records storage, valuable items requiring higher level security, scanning of documents, and secure data storage.

After we visit your site we provide a free, no obligation Storage Audit Report that details clear options on how best to store your documents. We advise on the optimum box designs for your storage needs, including our custom designed DOCbox, FILEbox and PLANbox options (exclusive to Ardington Archives).

The management of our clients business storage needs is a process, not simply a functional service.

This process starts from a free audit of your specific needs for storing hard copy documents, continues with practical advice and specialist programmes to ensure effective cataloguing (that allows fast and efficient retrieval of documents), through to a thorough destruction procedure for notifying clients when documents no longer need to be kept and can be destroyed.

Our security vault has been built to BS5454 standards, including a four hour fire check and full temperature and humidity control to provide a secure facility for your sensitive documents, computer tapes or many other valuable items.

The Security Vault at Ardington Archives stores many sensitive items that have a higher security risk or value, or where they require regular pick-up and off-site storage, such as:

Back-up computer tapes,
Microfiche, films,
Valuable items
or Deeds and other legal documents.


We organise the full process of document destruction as a separate service. From the discrete collection of office waste (in unmarked vehicles) to the secure destruction of the documents, we manage all aspects on your behalf.



As part of our Total Document Storage Management package we help our clients to review the destruction dates of their archived documents. When records are longer required the items are confidentially shredded, pulped and recycled into tissue. A certificate of destruction is then issued.
