Artist Statement

“Art makes me function no matter what the subject. Art is my DNA. Art is part of my everyday life, it is a necessity! I paint with my heart & soul. If you own a piece of my art you own a piece of my heart & soul".

I was born with a natural interest in art and self-expression through brush on to canvas at a young age. My family including my only son have nurtured the desire to express myself in creativity over the forth-coming years,. I often felt this was my only way from being a confident young child in gymnastics I did not grow into a confident young woman. Only in recent years has this changed I have learnt to be able embrace what was given to me naturally helping me on my journey of expressive creations.
 
My art is a continuous lesson in life itself it evolves taking my thoughts & memories,the changing elements with it.

Along side Mandy's many other projects for exhibitions & commissioned art she is currently working on a series of portraits called "Thats Life"
This could mean your portrait maybe featured on the wall at "The Eagle Tavern" Heage Derbyshire
Each portrait can be purchased for £10 each & if a purchase is made then 25% of the sale will be donated to the charity Cancer Research a charity close to many peoples hearts. I hope you enjoy the exhibition. Keep eye's peeled a new picture will be added to the wall soon!.
