Ask where to pick up a hearty italian type meal on north hill in town and thi is the restaurant to go to. Ask are a large group of italian style restaurants that cater to our desire for pizza and pasta, served in modern surroundings. They have a range of stone baked pizzas which are of a fair size, are filling and well cooked. The pasta meals are good at times, the beef meatballs taste ok and are done in garlic with peppers and onions then topped with cheese and oven baked. Try the folded pizza for a change. Service has been ok, at times they have been busy and seemed to have found it hard to cope with demand, but try not to let that put you off too much, the food is nice.

Lovely pizza
Great tasting authentic pizza and not too expensive. The pizza are flat stonebaked and are a decent size. Ask have a good range of pizza and pasta dishes, including vegetarian choices. Last time I had the calzone folded over pizza which was lovely. The decor is mainly white but it doesn't feel too stark. The layout is intesting with different rooms so you get a more intimate feel, although our last table was situated in the hallway, which was a little strange. Staff are attentive and helpful, although it was not very full last time we were there so they were not very busy. I would recommend Ask if you like pizza and pasta and want a good value but nice meal.

Best Pizza in Colchester
Ask does the best pizza in colchester, no contest. PIzza hut does the cheapest and may be more popular to the masses but for that original stonebaked italian style of pizza you cant beat Ask. Always had great service when I've been here, even when they've been very busy and we hadnt booked, we only had to wait 20 mins and could order a drink to pass the time. A great resturant and im sure i'll be back to sample more of their delicious menu. There is something for everyone even if you don't like pizza there are plenty of pasta dishes which you can choose from.

always the same top quality dishes
This place has the best handmade pizzas in colchester and the best banoffee pie ive tasted. My partner always has the classic itailian dishes althought not like being in italy as close as you can get here. It always seems so busy with parties in the back, so try and get seated in the front if you want quiet.

have had many meals at ask but the last time I found a hair in my main course, and although I complained and was given that dish for free, I couldnt eat anymore of it and I dont think I would ever go back
