Need to up their game

Purchased an ottoman bed from here as unlike others we looked at this was the only ottoman bed that opened up fully instead of half. Having been told it would take about 2 weeks for delivery we went ahead and ordered the base and the mattress we wanted from another store that was also 2 week delivery so we were very frustrated to have the mattress arrive on time and the base to take another 2 weeks on top of the original 2 weeks advised!! It wasn't fun having to store a king size mattress in our bedroom waiting for the base to arrive. When the base did finally arrive it was a bit slap dash with messy stitching and holes in the fabric not being where they should be making putting the bed together a very tiresome chore. The manufacturer clearly didn't construct the bed prior to sending it for delivery and the material was covered in tiny wood chippings so I also had to run a vacuum cleaner over the entire bed before use. We also ordered a head board from Aurora 5 days after ordering the bed (again being told 2 week delivery)so I didn't think it would be unrealistic to assume it would arrive about a week after the bed. I waited a week after the bed arrived and contacted Aurora to be told it had arrived that morning. As with the base the headboard was a faff to fix the legs to as holes hadn't been lined up correctly. Overall the base and headboard are what we wanted and look good but they could do with really reconsidering a manufacturer that takes a bit more care in construction and they need to give realistic timescales for delivery. The staff were friendly but sorry Aurora you need to up your game. Would I recommend to a friend? Not sure, I think I would but only after telling them what to expect.
