We came before Christmas on a Special Offer Voucher and the food was excellent. Then, the menu was interesting and varied, although we were the only diners in there. We went again tonight to find a typical Pub Grub Menu. The venison that I had enjoyed was no longer on offer. We were again the only diners in the restuarantThere was a strong smell of chips, as food is delivered to the bar. The food was microwaved and disappointing. The mashed potato was from a packet. The restaurant was cold (problems with the heating) and there was no bread. The volume of the Katy Melhuah and Frank Sinatra tracks on the sound sysem made conversation almost impossible. The Lamb shank was undercooked and difficult to detach from the bone. I really wanted to find a good restaurant in walking distance, since the demise of Lanterna. We will definitely not be returning to the Globe.

I agree with K9, average food, and below average service. Also has all the atmosphere of a school dining hall. I would ignore the review from Leia as she owns the place, and I think Mark has something to do with it as well.At least The Broadway has a bit of life about it on a sunday.SS

I'm not sure what the last reviewer was talking about! I went there last sunday and had a fantastic Sunday Roast and finished off with a lovely rice pudding It's also good value compared to the Broadway hotel. I'd definitely recommend it.

Visted here for Sunday lunch. Main restaurant out of bounds. Had traditional roast beef which was OK but not brilliant. Pudding was Eton Mess (worst I've ever had).Service was amateurinsh at best ...

Me and my friends were pleasently surprised when we came here for a few drinks after work. The ambiance is excellent and the prices aren't sky high. Since my husband and I have been back fr dinner which was fantastic... Its so different to whats in town and in my opinion just what Letchworth needs!
