My husband and I go to the Balti frequently. We have been to many top indian restaurants and the Balti does top them all. The service is outstanding, the ambience great and the food out of this world. The restaurant is of a nice size and the attention is on the food and customer and nothing more...you must try it out...we adore it.

Matlock Balti is the most consistently GOOD Indian Restaurant I have been to. I have been to a Michelin Starred Indian restaurant and know a lot about Indian Food. As well as Wonderful food the staff are very friendly and helpful. I have recommended it countless people and it is now their favourite Indian restaurant.

From the finest ingredients to the freshest flowers,this beautiful little restaurant is simply the best every time we visit. Thanks to excellent friendly ,beautifully dressed staff. You are as yummy as the food!! Love the new plates and cutlery

The best
Everything about The Balti is great. The food is so fresh and the service is always good. We travel from Derby to Matlock Balti - it is that worthwhile. A good night out if you travel by train!

OUTSTANDING IN EVERY WAY
My husband and myself are regulars at the Balti. The staff, food, ambience and surroundings are fantastic. Have visited many top Indian restaurants in England and this far outweighs them in every way. The staff make you feel very welcome and are so attentive. The food is served very quickly and is absolutely delicious, just make sure you don't eat anything else on the day before you go there!

Worth the journey!
Just had a lovely weekend away in Matlock Bath - have stayed there before and this return visit was purely so that we could experience the fantastic food and service of the Balti restaurant once more. I totally agree with all the comments made by diners in this review, the service is just amazing and the food divine! Never would have thought I would make a 130 mile trip to eat! I wish there was something to compare where I live.

Try the Rosewater ice-cream
Charming staff, absolutely customer-focused. Especially tolerant of small children early in the evening, which was appreciated by my daughter and son-in-law. Extremely good food and good value. Decor excellent - a really oustanding Indian restaurant - to rival Shimla Pinks in Manchester and Birmingham.

The best Indian restaurant in Derbyshire
As a regular at this restaurant I can honestly say that the exceptional quality of the food never changes. The decor is tasteful and contemporary, with great attention clearly paid to every aspect of the surroundings. The staff are always welcoming and can't do enough to ensure you have a pleasurable dining experience. Outstanding in every respect!

STUNNING!
Nothing short of fantastic, A real gem of an indian restaurant tucked away in Matlock Bath. Cannot fault anything about it. The food was the best I've ever tasted, the decor was really classy and the service was excellent. Really can't say enough good things about this place, in fact the only thing I'd change is to have the whole place airlifted to South Manchester so I could enjoy the experience more often.

A REAL GEM
I had visited Matlock Bath numerous times but never came across 'The Balti' until a friend recommended it about 5 years ago.My wife and I have been travelling from Derby to Matlock Bath ever week ever since. The service is superb and the food is the best I have ever come across in my 60 years. They also have recently opened in Derby by the name of 'Anoki' which is very good but we stiil prefer 'The Balti'.
