I ve just been in to look at buying a cheap used car. The assistant that I spoke to was unbelievably rude when I asked about after care. We had purchased a car from a dealer that broke down after 3 days - fortunately they gave us a full refund. However this has made me very cautious about buying a replacement. Anyway he went on at some length about people that want a cheap car but then start asking about after care straight away. Apparently people like me try it on and bring their cars in with every rattle. He ended up shouting "you're not listening" when I tried to leave with the children. I had previously only had dealings with the manager who had given us a valuation on our old car and was very helpful. I have never come across a dealer with so few social skills. He should at least have tried to hide his contempt. If you are looking at buying a very expensive car - I am sure you will be fine. But anything below 2k and do not expect any degree of customer service.
