Good for dogs Bad for cats
I chose this particular because I'd had a recommendation and because on the website there was a lot of emphasis on the 'personal' touch. I think this is the case for dogs but not for cats. It felt like I was dropping off a bag of rubbish not my beloved pet. When I was checking in my cat was just whisked away without a proper goodbye, no questions were asked about his personality/behaviour. There was constant barking from the dogs which was relentless and must be quite stressful for the cats. When my picked my cat up I had to wait nearly an hour outside with no answer from the bell even though I'd arranged what time I was collecting him. My cat is still not back to normal- he doesn't want to go outside, he's never off my lap and he is super jumpy and twitches loads in his sleep to the point where he wakes himself up. I will absolutely NOT be using Barilla again. I feel like it's predominantly a kennels and they have a cattery simply because they have the space.

We have used Barilla on several occasions for Charlie our 7 year old Westie and know he has been well looked after by Jan and her staff as he is ok when we arrive [not pulling away and keen to go in] and is reluctant to leave when we go back i would not put him anywhere else and trust them completely.",simply the best"

I have trusted the care of our two dogs to Barilla now for a long time, a good friend of ours told us about Barilla, but I still wanted to check them out for ourselves, so we booked our dogs into Barilla for a long weekend, we turned up early to collect them, they were both as clean and fresh as the day they went in. The added bonus was I was told how well they played together, had they not taken good care of my best friends Barilla would not have known this. I have every faith in Barilla, so much so we have booked a holiday of a lifetime in January 2009 for 5 weeks, would we send our dogs to an unsuitable kennels for that length of time. I think not.

5 Star dog hotel
I have been using Barilla for many years now and would not go anywhere else.My 3 dogs are treated like one of the family.Book well in advance is my advise as gets booked up quickly.

Barilla Kennels
Superb kennels. Excellent accommodation for dogs. Our 2 (used to be 3!) Labradors view it as their "holiday home" Very friendly - they LOVE animals! A brief health scare in one of our dogs resulted in a prompt identification and trip to the vets - all covered by their insurance. We rest easy when we go away. We tried others, now we've found the best.
