Here at Batch farm, we have been producing cheddar cheese in the traditional way for over 50 years. We make traditional round 27Kg truckles by hand only using only the milk from our own heard right here on the farm. This way we can guarantee the quality of our cheddar is second to none. Being one of just a handful of surviving traditional cheddar producers we pride ourselves on our ability to bring you cheeses with real character and full bodied flavour. Our cheese is wrapped in cloth and matured for 12 to 18 months and regularly wins awards at all the major national and international cheese shows including a Bronze at last years World Cheese Awards hosted at the Royal Bath and West Show. We have high hopes for this years awards as we have some very fine cheeses developing in our stores. Come on down and see the magic for yourself.

Turn off the A37 at Wraxall Hill opposite the Queens Arms. Take the first right and we,re at the top of the hill. the cows are on the left and the Dairy is on the right. pop in to the farm shop for our best deals direct to you.

Our Traditional Farmhouse Cheddar is a 'Proper cheddar'. unlike the cheap supermarket cheeses our cheddar has a real depth of flavour that only comes from the traditional production methods and at least 12 months maturing in our store.
