Bentham Physiotherapy Clinic is near the centre of the thriving market town of High Bentham, on the borders of the three counties of Lancashire, Cumbria and North Yorkshire. Perfectly situated to offer physiotherapy to clients from local villages in the Lune Valley, Three Peaks District and Forest of Bowland as well as the larger towns of Lancaster, Kendal, Settle and Kirkby Lonsdale.

The clinic is a purpose built extension offering modern, bright premises in a quiet location just off the Main Street of Bentham (map). There is a private treatment room, comfortable waiting area and a bathroom for clients use. There is a disabled parking space immediately outside the clinic door and free parking on the road outside the clinic or at any of the town carparks.

Graduated with Diploma in Physiotherapy in 1991 from Otago School of Physiotherapy, New Zealand. Graduated with MSc in Physiotherapy in 2003 from Manchester School of Physiotherapy, UK.

After 1 year working in New Zealand and 6 years in the NHS, specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, Marie set up Bentham Physiotherapy Clinic in 1998, where for the last 13 years she has focused on musculoskeletal physiotherapy seeing everything from acute whiplash to chronic low back pain. Marie has been practicing acupuncture since 1996, finding it a very effective adjunct to her other treatment techniques. Her MSc was invaluable covering modules of pain management, biomechanics, orthopaedic assessment and treatment of the spine and periphery, as well as research methodology, which has all contributed to her physiotherapy philosophy.

Bentham Physiotherapy Clinic offers professional and timely treatment for all your musculoskeletal and women's health problems. Our highly experienced physiotherapists are Chartered and registered with the Health Professions Council. The Clinic is an authorised provider with most major insurance companies including BUPA, AXA PPP, AVIVA and Nuffield.

Here at the clinic we have a specialist Women's Health physiotherapist, who can help with various problems including stress incontinence, post mastectomy or breast surgery, post op prolapse repair. Please phone for details. As well as traditional physiotherapy treatments, our physiotherapists are trained to use acupuncture in the treatment of various musculoskeletal problems.
