My Wedding Experience
I would just like to take this time to say a huge Thankyou to the girls at Berketex Bride in Chester. Their service was excellent and i could not have felt anymore like a princess each time i went. Like alot of you i did read alot of reviews both good and bad about Berketex as a company, however i definatly think it depends on what store you visit as i cannot fault my experience. I visited the store on 9th June 2012, i had come to chester for the day (as there are many bridal stores) so i thought it would be fun to make a day of it. I came with my mum, sister, mother in law, my nephew and my best friend. As i have never been wedding dress shopping before was unaware i had to make appointments to even look at the gowns. I went to pronupitia where i was told i could not be seen without an appointment, then again by another store near the town hall. I then went to aristocrats who were willing to see me but i found the woman to be quite snooty with me so i decided to leave. At this point my exciting day had turned awful and i just wanted to go home, i didnt even want to go to berketex as i thought i would get the same experience but my mum said to try. Oh how wrong i was.... I went in and was greeted by a consultant called Amy she congratuated me on my engagement, asked me a few questions ie, date of wedding, venue etc. She explained that all the consultants where with clients but one consultant was due to finish and so if i wanted to try gowns on i was more than welcome. I was extatic to be treated like i was so important. I begain to look threw the gowns as instructed, not to be shy to pull them out and have a good feel for the quality etc, about 5minutes later my consultant Christine came and introduced herself and my experience in Berketex began.... An hour and a half later, after lots of different gowns, recommendations, accessories, flower props i was stood in the most beautiful gown i have ever seen in my life, it was called Rhyse. It was everything i wanted and more. My sister put on a bridesmaides dress and as i admired us both in the mirror i just knew it was right. We purchased both gowns along with a veil and tiara which i was given discount on. Ive seen alot of people slating the fact that Berketex always have offers on but id sure as hell be greatful for alomst 300 off any day!!! Over all absolutly stunning service my mum cried and cried just how i wanted her to :) ha! I cannot wait for November 2012 when i get to wear my amazing dress. Thankyou soo much ladies! You really are getting over shadowed by all the bad reviews :( xxxx

I initially went to look for dresses in January last year. Vicky was the lady I dealt with and she was absolutely womderful. I was not sure what type of dress to choose and she said she knew exactly what would suit me and indeed it did. I then went to numerous other shops over 2/3 months but went back to Berketex. The staff remembered me and I ordered my dress. When I went for the fitting another lady did all the alterations and when I went for the final fitting she needed to take the dress up a fraction - and did it there and then in 10 minutes. I found all the staff very helpful and would recommend them to anyone. They have also asked for a photograph as apparently most brides promise to send one but never do!

Two assistants working there at the time i went in to look for my wedding dress. An assistant was busy talking to a women who also was looking for her wedding dress as she asked this assistant for her advice, the assistant told her in a very patronising way that basically she couldn't get that dress as she was too big for it, i found this assistant to be very rude and lacked respect of her costumers. needless to say the lady left shortly after and didn't leave with a dress. However another assistant who had been in the fitting room at this time delt with myself and my friend, she was lovely and tried her best to help us out. What ashame they couldn't both be like that. What we saw of the shop was a small slection of dresses and accessories i would say there is better wedding shops in chester by far.
