Berry Hill House is a 3 Star rated, quiet, strictly Non-Smoking B&B in the middle of the village of Berry Hill in the heart of the Forest of Dean. Our Rooms are en-suite and fully equipped with Freeview TV, Coffee/Tea and Hair Dryers. Ironing facilities are also available. There is off-road Private Parking, and Secure Cycle Storage. Breakfast is Included in the price.
The village is surrounded by 27,000 acres of Forest, with many miles of walking and cycling tracks, with lakes and wildlife, including rare birds such as the Goshawk and the Nighjar, and several species of Deer, Wild Boar, and through which the river Wye meanders. There are two excellent golf courses close by, but for the more adventurous, there are opportunities for Canoeing, Rock Climbing, and Go Ape. We are close to the Wye Valley, SymondsYat, Hopewell Collery, Dean Heritage Centre, and Puzzlewood, which, upon being visited by J R Tolkein, inspired him to write The Hobbit, and is now regularly used as a film set for things like Dr Who, Merlin, and Star Wars etc.
We are 5 miles from the historic town of Monmouth, 9 miles from Ross-on-Wye, 15 miles from Chepstow, and the area is served by some excellent restaurants and pubs. Local village shops are close at hand.
