A scam
This company is a scam. I fulfilled my end of the contract and never received my deposit back. The Managing Director of the company John Humphries repeatedly failed to respond to my many e-mails and messages requesting my deposit back. Furthermore, his phone number no longer works, and the house keeper's phone number is no longer in operation. The phone numbers for theBestDig.com as advertised on RIghtmove, Zoopla, AllAgents.co.uk, EstateAngels, MisterWhat.co.uk and many other website are faulty. Essentially, there are no means to communicating with him nor the company. According to CheckCompany.co.uk, TheBestDigs.com is a dissolved company. It dissolved prior to my tenancy. It amazes me that trusted websites like RightMove allowed them to advertise. Mr John David Humphries is associated with many other companies which have also been classified as dissolved. Please DO NOT use this company as they steal deposits. They steal the hard earned money of their tenants. Contrary to another review posted, The Best Digs is not registered with the Property Ombudsman

Perfect for Students
I feel that I have to leave this review given the harsh one that I read earlier as I don't think that it is a fair reflection. We had our tenancy agreement sorted promptly for our student accommodation an I would reccommend highly to any students. How it is for non-student accommodation however, I am not sure.

Terrible
A terrible service all round: The flat was left cleaner then when we arrived, a lot cleaner! Took on average 3 months to get any item fixed (of which several items were broken on arrival to the flat). Very expensive charges. An itinerary that was beyond terrible, and the copy we provided fully marked up was lost, such that they then tried to charge at the end of the tenancy, so we had to correct them on all of these issues, provide another copy of the itinerary, and yet were still charged £60 for the privilege of this bad service. Moths were a constant problem in the flat, and on complaining about this issue, they said, ‘yes, we have had a lot of complaints recently about this’, and that was that. Impolite most of the time, hard to contact, and the fact that I have had to deal with ever changing company names and changing payment accounts is suspicious and frustrating. Would never use again or recommend. There are so many companies registered at the company address… This is the signature of the director: XXXX XXXXXXXXX – Director theBestDigs.com, Hastings Street Property and UGPM -Hastings Street Property Consultants Ltd -Ug Property Management Co Ltd -The Uncommonly Good Property Management Co Ltd -Best Digs The company number on their bestdigs website is 04793867, which is actually a dissolved company! It seems only fair that I place this review on every one of these company references. Please note that they are registered with the Property Ombudsman should you wish to make a complaint. The whole renting industry requires reform, remove these overpriced useless middle people. Contracts are completely biased towards the owner, with no come back for the renter, except the opportunity to post a bad review if the soul is willing… In conclusion, I have rented from several agencies in the past, and this has been by far the worst experience, the most stressful and exhausting and time consuming by miles. I would not recommend this agent to my worst enemy.
