About us

Big Arena is run by Mike Venables.

Mike has taught drama in lots of schools and colleges in the Midlands area, now he devotes almost all of his time to making our group a better and better organisation dedicated to building children's self-confidence and dramatic skills.

Working with Mike is a great team of young, talented individuals dedicated to creating a wonderful nuturing atmosphere for your child.

We work with children using a combination of their creativity and our expertise to build performances of which they are proud.

We are a team of 5 dedicated to bringing a great performing experience to the children of Sutton Coldfield.
The emphasis is on fun and quality performance.
We never forget that every child is an individual and everything we do is aimed at bringing out the best in all of our members.
There's always a show to look forward to - in 2012 we've had Cinderella and a variety show; in 2013 we're staging Bugsy Malone.
And we look for futher opportuinities for our talented youngsters - in 2012 a team of our boys performed in an Opera with the Birmingham Conservatiore and in 2013 twenty of our youngsters will appear in the movie, Godtech.

Theatre Experience for Children

We meet on Saturday mornings in school term time at Fairfax School in Sutton Coldfield. We take children from the ages of 5 to 14 and engage them in acting, dancing and singing. There's always a performance coming up in which all of our members take part.

We have a staff ratio of ten to one and all of our staff are qualified and CRB checked.

We charge at a rage of £4 per hour with the term's fees being paid in advance. The average term costs £96. This is for a two hour session each week for twelve weeks. The first session is a free taster.

Big Arena focusses on each individual child ensuring they are fully engaged during their time with us.
