Specialist Services

We are located just a few minutes South of the M4 Jct 32 with our office and vehicle yard in Cardiff Business Park, Llanishen, North Cardiff. The office is open Mon to Fri from 9am till 6pm, during evenings and weekends we have a duty manager who can be contacted via our business mobile phone. All clients attending a HGV / LGV / PCV course are offered a FREE one hour driving assessment where an experienced instructor can advise on a course duration best suited to the individuals ability to reach test standard.

Big Wheelers (South Wales) Limited is a HGV driver training school first established in 1999. The HGV training school ideally located just south of the M4 junction 32 based in Llanishen North Cardiff, South Wales. Since July 2011 Big Wheelers also provide local HGV training in Plymouth, Devon and also in Aberdare, Rhondda Cynon Taff.

The company provides a full range of HGV driver training services including HGV Class 1, LGV category C+E, HGV Class 2 and 3 and LGV category C and an approved training provider for Farming Connect and a preferred supplier to the Career Transition Partnership for members of the Armed Forces.

Additional HGV driving lessons available are LGV category C1 (up to HGV 7.5 tonnes) PCV category D1 minibus, PCV D1+E (minibus towing a trailer) and also B+E car plus trailer towing and testing.

Big Wheelers (South Wales) Limited are the leading provider in the Capital of Wales and surrounding area for the delivery of the new Driver CPC. Driver CPC periodic training takes place on average every two weeks at the main Training Centre in Llanishen, Cardiff.

As well as providing hgv driver training, Big Wheelers (South Wales) Limited also provide the specialist training and certification needed for Lorry Loader Operator HIAB, Digital Tachograph Operations and for the Carriage of Hazardous Cargo by Road ADR.

To assist new customers the administration staff will be happy to assist in licence applications, arranging cheap hgv medicals and organising theory and practical tests.
