I joined Karen's yoga class shortly after being diagnosed with ms 5 years ago and have been attending either in a class or on a one to one basis since then. Yoga is hugely beneficial to ms sufferers not only for the body but for the mind and spirit and I could not have found a better more understanding tutor than Karen. I am a far fitter, stronger and flexible person both in body and mind now and this is down to Karen's wonderful teaching. The class members are warm and friendly and within minutes of starting the initial warm up relaxation all worries and stresses drift away to be replaced by a feeling of connection with your real self and a sense of total calmness. The studio is a calming quiet environment in a wonderful setting and on a warm sunny day we were blessed to use Karen's garden under the trees for class surrounded by bird song The workshops held on various Saturdays are excellent too and gives the opportunity to meet members from other classes So for anyone who thinks they can't do yoga for various health reasons please give Karen's yoga a try it will change your life

I've been going to Karen's yoga classes for over a year now and LOVE them! Karen's a very experienced teacher and able to teach a class that covers beginners through to intermediate/advanced. They're always different, with a theme that reflects the time of year and focus on a different part of the body. Karen's classes are held at her home in a purpose built yoga studio which are always a great temperature. Karen provides her own mats, blankets, eye pillows, straps etc. but you can take your own too if you like. Classes have no more than 12 people at any one time and if you go during the day (which I can't very often) you get tea after too. She also holds workshops on weekends but if you want to get in to one of her classes best get on the waiting list!

I looked far and wide for a good yoga teacher with good facilities. Karen at Birch Tree yoga more than delivers, with a beautiful purpose built studio that is spacious and airy, and a teaching style that is both invigorating and relaxing. My yoga practice has improved greatly, along with learning the theory and history behind the exercise.

These are the best yoga classes I have been to. The classes are different each week but still allow you to build a confidence in familiar poses with the spiritual element woven throughout the physical. The beautiful setting enhances Karen's excellent teaching.

Karen has created a bespoke studio for her yoga classes. The environment is peaceful, warm and inviting (so none of the harsh lighting or spare equipment lying around that you would find in many gym studios). Karen is a strong and energetic teacher, but she has such a gentle, smooth manner when taking us through relaxation. Karen also teaches us about the philosophy behind the yoga poses, which is very important for the whole mind/body connection. I have been attending Karen's classes for nearly 2 years and just can't imagine doing yoga anywhere else.
